Birmingham, AL – Heritage Christian Academy (HCA) is excited to announce the opening of its newly renovated science lab, designed to provide students with a dynamic, hands-on learning experience.
What was once a traditional classroom has been transformed into a state-of-the-art science space, allowing students to explore, experiment, and expand their scientific knowledge like never before. All science classes have embraced this new feature, engaging in exciting experiments that bring lessons to life.
From pumpkin catapults in lower school to dissections and chemical reactions in upper school, students are engaging in hands-on projects that deepen their understanding of scientific principles. The lab also supports STEM education, which integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, encouraging students to see connections between these areas. By applying their knowledge to real-world problems, students develop critical thinking and creativity, essential skills for their future success.
“Our goal is to provide an interactive and engaging learning environment where students can see science in action,” said Courtney Tincher, Upper School Principal. “This new lab is helping us accomplish that in a significant way.”
HCA is committed to equipping students with the tools and experiences they need to succeed. The new science lab is just one of the many ways the school continues to invest in its students’ education and future.
